Engineered Garments and NANGA Preview their Latest Collaboration
As collaborations with other members of the Nepenthes family have passed, NANGA has announced its latest project with Engineered Garments which presents an arrangement of pieces.
The pair has developed four apparel styles which combine Engineered Garments’ revered design skills and NANGA’s expertise in technical fabrics and down. The result is a nuanced take on NANGA’s Aurora Down Jacket which now features a zipper running down the back and side-zips on either side. Adding to the collaboration are a ‘Wrap Vest’ and ‘Button Shawl’ that feature NANGA’s proprietary down insulation. The Vest, for example, typically wraps around the wearer’s body but its styling can be changed depending on how the buttons are fastened. Lastly, the ‘Air Bone Down Pants’ are a take on military-inspired legwear design through their collective lens, featuring down insulation and vintage influences such as flap pockets and padded knees.
