NEIGHBORHOOD and Vans Unveil the Collaborative "SK8-MID 83 DX"
Vans and NEIGHBORHOOD have unveiled their latest project, using the “SK8-MID 83 DX” as their model of choice.
As skaters transitioned to street skating in the 1980s and 1990s, they began modifying their shoes to handle the newly invented tricks. While Vans’ Sk8 Hi was a popular silhouette, it wasn’t fit for purpose so the SK8-MID 83 DX was born and has now been picked up by NEIGHBORHOOD its latest collaboration with Vans.
Available in a choice of Black or Natural, the SK8-MID 83 DX features a subtle tonal suede upper with an interior leather lining. Collaborative details can be found on the toe box and heel in the form of embroidery, while co-branding is seen on the tongue and lining of the footbed.
