Asahi Kasei Unveils New Function-Forward Sub-Line 'AKAD'
With Spring/Summer ‘23 acting as its debut season, Asahi Kasei’s ‘AKAD’ line is informed by its parent company’s footing in the performance fabrics industry.
Prioritising comfort and functionality, the range consists of outerwear, sweatpants, bottoms and sweatshirts with notable styles including the Signature Tech Rain Shell Jacket, Original Easy Slack and Sweat Hoodie. Of note, the Shell Jacket has been made using Asahi Kasei’s proprietary SOFANDE® material that provides protection against the elements while allowing the body to breathe naturally. Equipped with technical details aplenty including a two-way zipper, three-way drawstrings on the hood and Silicone-grip cuff adjusters for easier use. In contrast, the other styles that are designed with comfort in mind feature drawstring waists, double-faced materials and cotton blend constructions.
