TAKAHIROMIYASHITA TheSoloist. Autumn/Winter '23

Unveiled during Rakuten Fashion Week Tokyo A/W, Takahiro Miyashita’s namesake label, TAKAHIROMIYASHITA TheSoloist., previewed its Autumn/Winter ‘23 collection which is set to release later in the year.

The eponymous label carried by Miyashita has presented its Autumn/Winter ‘23 range which is a balance between light and dark, characterised by cream and black hues. In contrast to previous output from the label, there is less of a technical approach to this season but, instead, there is a greater focus on the punk aesthetic that has remained focal to the brand’s image. Comfortably dabbling in a range of garments from outerwear to tops, knitwear and dresses, TAKAHIROMIYASHITA TheSoloist. pays close attention to fabrics, construction and minute finishes. Dressing a number of the jackets and dresses is graphic artwork that has been designed by David Carson, a well-known graphic designer, which provides a simulating, stacking effect as opposed to simple placement.
