UNUSED Unveils its Autumn/Winter '23 Outerwear Enlisting Buzz Ricksons

The Japanese-label, UNUSED, recognised for its merging of the old and new, has unveiled some of its core outerwear styles that comprise its Autumn/Winter ‘23 collection which is set to release later in the year.

Delivering a variety of outerwear silhouettes, UNUSED has promised a Down Jacket, Linen Wool Blouson, Cotton Blouson and an MA-1 Jacket developed in collaboration with Buzz Ricksons, a highly-esteemed workwear and military-inspired label. Opting for the iconic MA-1 silhouette as the base, this iteration of it ditches the ribbed hem and adopts a slightly longer length. Finished with a roomy hood and other familiar accoutrements that come with the MA-1, including a two-way zipper and arm pocket. To ensure the wearer stays warm, they have utilised Climashield for the filling which can also be found in US military uniforms and provides excellent heat retention as well as breathability and reduced weight.

Next up is the Down Jacket which is potentially the most functional in the line-up, utilising a water-repellent nylon material with the addition of an insulated lining and laminated zippers to protect the wearer from inclement weather. Lastly, the core outerwear offering is rounded off by the Linen Wool Blouson and Cotton Blouson which are two takes on vintage workwear silhouettes that have been brought up to a modern standard through adjusting the cut and fabrication. There is a handful of colours to choose from including Pale Blue, Black and Yellow.
