Studio Nicholson Leaves its Revered Mark on Paraboot's Iconic 'Michael' Derby
Following their debut collaboration, Studio Nicholson and Paraboot return for Autumn/Winter ‘24 with a revised version of the French shoemaker’s iconic ‘Michael’ Derby, a silhouette introduced in 1945.
This collaborative style has been assembled by hand in Paraboot’s small-run artisan factory using full-grain deer leather for the upper and a durable sheepskin leather lining. Thanks to the deer’s tighter grain structure, the leather is lauded for its strength and resilience, a nod to the brand’s fabric-first ethos. The outsole is complete with genuine French rubber lug soles for underfoot comfort and support, symbolising Paraboot’s ability to merge style and tradition. To complement the colour scheme of Studio Nicholson’s Autumn/Winter ‘24 apparel line, the ‘Michael’ has been produced in the darkest brown colourway, featuring elegant espresso, mole, feather, and black hues. Lastly, for the first time, Paraboot’s iconic green side tab has been reinterpreted to feature Studio Nicholson’s logo.
