COMME des GARÇONS and PORTER Celebrates 40 Years of the 'Tanker' Series
COMME des GARÇONS and PORTER have come together to celebrate 40 years of the ‘TANKER’ series with three collaborative designs bearing the identity of both Japanese labels.
First introduced in 1983, PORTER’s 'TANKER’ products have since become synonymous with the infamous Tokyo-based bag company, using a specially developed in-house fabric that was based on the iconic MA-1 U.S. Air Force jacket. In the early years of the ‘TANKER’ series, the exterior of the bag was often characterised by khaki or black nylon with an orange interior, as a nod to the flight jacket. Taking this on board, COMME des GARÇONS and PORTER have prepared three sizes of the Helmet Bag in Black or Khaki, that feature exclusive details like a COMME des GARÇONS lining and a removable pouch made using taffeta nylon.
