vowels Launches its First Collection Replete with Unisex Streetwear Styles
The Tokyo-based label, vowels, has revealed its inaugural capsule collection consisting of foundational unisex streetwear essentials.
As a springboard for future collections, vowels’ debut features versatile and gender-fluid silhouettes like tops, Oxford shirts, denim chore jackets, hoodies, sweatshirts and more. Garments are finished with exceptional detailing including pearl buttons, premium gauge Japanese cotton, and Japanese shuttle loom selvedge denim. Each garment is designed by the vowels team in Tokyo and produced in Japan, championing domestic manufacturing and supporting local artisans.
To coincide with the launch of its first collection, vowels have opened the doors to its physical brand space, the ‘Showroom and Research Library’, located at 76 Bowery in New York. Inside the space, designed by the creative studio ANY, visitors can expect to find a visible ‘study’ featuring a rotating exhibition currently curated around the concept of home and home objects, collections and exclusive in-store releases, archival memorabilia and reference pieces. The space will be a crucial place for vowels to build a community around the brand and allow others to understand more.
