Engineered Garments Dresses Danner's Mountain Trail in Haircalf Uppers
Known for their long-running collaborative relationships, Engineered Garments has never shied away from any of its notable friends, doing seasonal runs of Vans staples, an occasional Timberland modification, and now a return to Danner’s signature Mountain Trail.
Pushed out of its own comfort zone once again, the traditional hiker is no longer as it once was, removing its standard swathe of suede and leathers for a striking all-over construction of haircalf in three different varieties. Black, brown, and an eccentric leopard print take over the show, offering up distinct differences in terms of style with one bearing neutrals through and through and its opposing earth tone opting for a slightly deeper connection to the mountaineering brand’s heritage. The loudest of the three, however, is neither here nor there, likely borrowing fully from the eclectic mind of Daiki Suzuki himself or possibly his peer Keizo Shimizu.
