fragment Adds Their Signature Touch To a Small Capsule with MISTERGENTLEMAN
Hiroshi Fujiwara’s iconic fragment design imprint has been putting in near constant work as of late, helping out Edison Chen’s CLOT with a regal Air Force 1, creating a small pack of essentials with John Smedley, and now brandishing a small capsule of clothing alongside Japanese label MISTERGENTLEMAN.
In line with both of their styles, the pieces themselves are quite minimal, delving not too far away from the classics while still featuring some of the most notable accents from the now legendary collaborator. Often touted as consultants more than a design firm by the founder himself, they’ve added small yet certainly discernable markings of their signature lightning bolt, making a small center stage performance on a few pieces while lying in the background of a much grander graphic lockup. The double face bomber jacket -- whose two colorings flip to reveal a more rockabilly striping and color blocking -- are furnished with nylon constructions in military tones alongside embroidered of both brands as well as the collection’s “the ADOPTED SON” themes. Hoodies and tees, with the exception of just one set, features this very same motif, with more simplistic houndstooth parkas and contrast cuff shirts relying less on the rare cosign.
