Trove Relaunches Their Active Line with Military Grade Modularity
Already planning for the early months of 2020, Japanese label Trove has taken a quick break away from its impending mainline offerings to relaunch the once bluntly named Active Line, giving it a fresh, technical makeover under the new moniker of “Trovertex.”
Either playing off the names of fabric stalwarts or giving its own a more playful and fitting spin, Trove has effectively created a brand within itself as it delves far out of the norm of their usual style. Whereas Autumn/Winter tackled menswear staples done cozy, this small yet mighty capsule hones its sights on what can only be considered futuristic militaria. An entire uniform from vest, underlayer, to trousers are all represented with compartments arriving in spades and a loose air of modularity nearly begging you to complete the entire set. The TVX Coat strips away at its hem for two varying lengths — and leaves plenty of room for the bib hoodie to accompany — doubling variety while also pairing perfectly with any of the other pieces who share its material construction. These, which take the shape of compression-esque trousers as well as short-sleeve and long-sleeve tops, finish a perfect base on which the outers and accessories can lie. Strong alone yet impossibly innovative together, each of the aforementioned is adorned with MOLLE webbing to be armed with either of the two differently sized bags or any of the components in the five-part vest.
Grab a good look at what’s to release as well as what they can do together and expect preorders to go live on their webstore come December 9th.
