UNUSED Spring/Summer '20

UNUSED Spring/Summer '20

Relying on the familiar in a way that’s firmly their own, Japanese label UNUSED retains their best traits into the new decade as they traverse a SS20 collection full of standouts. All-over prints, loose, airy cuts, and an assortment of pastels make for yet another collection worth waiting for in the warmer months ahead of us.

Seemingly holding on to no specific theme of choice, the collection branches off in all sorts of manners, tapping workwear classics, pushing forward with serious staples, and bringing in the summer with more playful creations. The latter, which is on display not only through garments alone but also a bright, pastel palette, is most certainly at the forefront of all else: hot pink jeans are a simple yet noteworthy addition to a line of bright blues and nearly blinding yellows, ones that dress up wide hoodies and matching joggers; elsewhere, deep purples add a sultry nature to shirting and trousers in bandana print with coveralls tagging along in vibrant orange. Seersucker anoraks and oversized dual pocket parkas complete the more weather-resistant aspect of the range, while UNUSED-tinged basics by way of oversized shorts, stripe tees, retro fit blazers, Harrington jackets, and many others fill in the blanks.
