GutterTM teams up with The Hidden Characters for "Portal One" Capsule
“Portal One” is a collaboration of two of Chicagos Underground powerhouses The Hidden Characters and GUTTERTM. The two have teamed up to design their first delivery as an on-going tandem. Staying true to both brands’ DIY nature, each garment is designed, patterned, cut, sewn and embellished in Chicago.
This capsule advances The duos ways of visual deception. Meticulously-crafted and timeless in design using heavy linenand buttons closures as their mediums and constraints in a search to find emotion in the human form, “Portal One” underscores a deliberate and organic approach to clothing design that focuses on the visceral experience of our daily lives. The collection features a cropped vest w/ dropped front welt pockets, detachable front and back packs adjustable back ties and inner mesh lining for additional storage. Also featured are a pair of linen tearaway trousers with buttons from the waist to the cuff kinetically placed seams that wrap the leg for mobility and pocketed mesh shorts accessible from side seam with detachable cargo pockets and “K-os” tee excerpt from the sketchbooks of both Guttertm and THC.
