Karrimor Japan Grounds Itself in Casual Mountaineering for Summer '19

British outfit Karrimor, known for its technical arsenal of accessories and enduring garb, is quite possibly seen in its best light through the lens of their Japanese division whose recent Summer ‘19 editorial — titled Shoegazing — displays an array of looks doused in effortless style.

Each features one starring garment of choice as layers squeeze their way in for tonal contrast. Informed by casual, everyday aesthetics, the overall theme finds itself diverting far from the usual avant-garde flair for one readily accessible: oversized white shirting matches underneath the comfort of an earth tone sports coat while windbreakers steal the show atop stark black utility vests and plaid trousers. Outerwear is most definitely the main feature, however, offering up a variety unmatched in its various toolings. Though simplistic upon first glance, the breadth shines in a range of technical fabrications, armoring the body in weather resistance across their Pioneer, Triton, Athletic, Phantom, and Poncho jackets: constructions whose bodies arrive painted in tones from autumnal to hi-vis. Some billowing and others nostalgically color blocked, the collection — alongside pairings of cut-off denim shorts and graphic tees — goes beyond the ordinary outdoors inventory.

For all that and more, be sure to grab a detailed look at the entire set of imagery below and then head over to Karrimor to learn more about each piece.
