yoshiokubo Spring/Summer '20

Grounded in traditionalism yet free spirited in its approach, yoshiokubo’s SS20 range is one of deep variety, twisting and turning at every corner for an experience that keeps you on your toes.

Expressive in its use of color while simultaneously drab in an interpenetration of the office worker uniform, the burgeoning imprint has provided a dichotomy between both the present and the past with the suit sets being the most clear in their inspirations. Dressed in drab earth tones, the variety of smartwear is left largely untouched, though their cuts are just slightly up-sized from classic slim fits, loosely matching the casual pool of their accompanying trousers. While some are kept true to their staple templates, stunning rebels employ cuts (literally) across the entirety of their sleeves, folding out as if composed of paper. These same origami-esque motifs can be found pleasantly throughout, reshaping the ideas of coaches jackets, parkas, and much more. This playful nature is only furthered in the use of vibrant mosaics, whose likeness is not too far off from the artwork of a workers Hanten.

Patchwork graphics, bright yellow mulit-pocket vests, simple plaids, and so much more find place here, so be sure to check out the full set of imagery right below.
