02DERIV. Autumn/Winter '19
Frequently finding inspiration in the traditional despite following a workflow close to the antithesis, Japanese label 02DERIV further fine tunes their mission of “drawing out the opposite from nothing.” A mix of the overly warming with breathable tech fabrics, the imprint’s AW19 range is one of fur colors, strong neutrals, and more-than-meets-the-eye staples.
Mostly geared towards the colder months, the collection is quite heavy-handed in its use of down fill: outerwear, which arrive either adorned with Eskimo-familiar collars or lengthened and curved hems, all outfit with the insulating fabrication touched up with strong neutrals. Following offerings stay within the lines of this season-appropriate palette with much of the trousers and water-resistant gear looking its best in all black. Interpretations of noragi jackets see to contemporary upgrades by way of the aforementioned as well as buckles at their center point — similarly styled coats puff by much more in comparison, bearing strong molds not too unlike the quilting of the accompanying bomber jacket. Shirting stays simple with details only a wearer would be keen to notice, coats crop and take on the form of workwear hantens, and much more adds cohesion to a set piece that may not seem as such if taking a quick peek.
See all that and more with much closer inspection right here.
