meanswhile Crafts an All Black Capsule for LESS Taiwan
Technical outfit meanswhile starts strong the new year, gracing the Spring/Summer season with not only their forthcoming collection but also a curated capsule of all black garments for retailer LESS Taiwan. Dubbed the “Off Black Series,” the release entertains through form alone as the Japanese half lends some of the most coveted staples among their now six year catalog.
These, inclusive of the anorak, trousers, and their most iconic bag set, highlight one core fabric: X-PAC. Familiar through its participation in adjacent techwear collections, the material brings with it durability and now a fair bit of stealth via its coloring. Contrasting against a prior backdrop of tones more mountaineering-inspired -- e.g. light tans, soft olives, and vibrant neon oranges -- the forthcoming garments hide amongst themselves and even within themselves though those features are already expected. The outerwear, specifically, locks down its neckline with a zig-zagged arrangement of webbing in a way diverting attention from the hidden placket, torso-placed pockets, and side zippers. Bottoms opt in to a similar presentation just as the accessories whose waist pack and more standard backpack merge if required.
