Helly Hansen HH-118389225-202 Autumn/Winter '20

The latter half of the last decade has been something of an outdoor renaissance with labels the world over showing their prowess in technical production. Helly Hansen, whose wealth of experience is nothing if not noteworthy, joins the fun much more fervently for Autumn/Winter ‘20 with its HH-118389225-202 line, pushing the envelope with their own collection of premium product.

At its core, the forthcoming line-up pays homage to the brand’s past: staples from the 90s as well as more universal winter essentials flesh out the garment offerings -- these, different in their presentation though aligned closely by way of fabrication as well as palette, strike a diversity informed almost wholly by utility. But style still plays a large part, re-purposing icons such as their E-352 Offshore Survival Suit -- a piece originally developed for riggers, fisherman, and rescue workers -- for the modern times. The Arctic Survival 3-Way parka adds an alluring 3 Ply shell with an inner liner that can be removed and worn on its own. Double zippers, contrast pulls, and tonal branding embellish its constructions with reflective accents furthering a more maximalist aesthetic, which bolsters further at the down jackets’ orange coloring as well as the many bold text logos.

Basics of nylon pullovers as well as graphic tees round off the range, releasing altogether come September 2020 at Helly Hansen’s high-end assortment of stockists. See the full lookbook styled by Daniel Pacitti and shot by Mads Perch below.
