visvim Spring/Summer '20
visvim, with each new passing season, seems to approach brand new styles with the same relaxed outlook, reflecting designer Hiroki Nakamura’s personal style in cut as it does design. Spring/Summer ‘20 continues where the label left off, pursuing the warmer months ahead with a palette tinged by earth tones and an assortment inclusive of their classic Americana-influenced staples.
Of the latter, there are many a standout -- the most universal of such a breadth being the MA-1 whose patriotism is not lost at its minimally drawn American flags at the sleeves. Just adjacent, equally noteworthy military staples such as M65s and zipped blousons further craft with close homage, yet all shine bright through a lens of invisible high quality while simultaneously mimicking vintage with intention. This can easily be said for the rest of the range as well, a varied expanse that starts simple with indigo blazers and band collars and then fleshes out by way of embroidered short-sleeves and much more. Taking on “Peerless” motifs and the like, each -- of dyes mostly neutral -- sprawl with finely detailed artwork at their backs, stealing the spotlight from adjacent pieces of more subtle all-over print.
Overcoats, tassel-embellished western jackets, native-inspired Christos, and much more can be found here, so take a full look just below.
