uniform experiment Spring/Summer '20
Ostensibly designed for the world traveler, soph. label uniform experiment crafts with close homage to timeless staples. Often exploring casual styles as it does formal, SS20 retains the classic DNA with new inspirations, letting graphic artwork line the garments alongside in further nod to an unspoken theme.
Interwoven throughout the entire range is this ethereal sense of wanderlust, setting the stage from terminal to transit with each new backdrop. As such, the garments themselves seem informed almost wholly by commuter choices, leaning closer to comfort with a breadth of loose, unstructured blazers and a small assortment of MA-1s -- a series that starts simple with olive colorings and then flips inside-out to reveal a more intricate striped patchwork. Elsewhere, utility comes into the mix, though not entirely untouched. While some bear weather-resistant fabrications with little in the way of print, many sprawl as if doing their best world atlas impression. Graphics continue from thereon into tees as well as shirting, with the latter preferring safari-inspired prints and the former playing liberally with the UE logo.
