Reebok and KANGHYUK Return for an Auto-Inspired Premier Road Modern
Korean label KANGHYUK has been making waves for their utilitarian collections and masterful craftsmanship featuring airbags as their garment materials. Their first collaboration with Reebok featured the same concept imagined on the SRS Sole Fury silhouette, resulting in each pair being unique due to the varying airbag patterns. The two team up once again for the upcoming Premier Road Modern collaboration, a continued ode to their auto-inspired narrative.
The new Premier Road Modern, originally part of the high performance Reebok Premiere Running line from 2005 to 2010, is now revitalized with a contemporary lifestyle design. The one-piece flow molded upper comes in KANGHYUK’s signature red and white colorway, nostalgic of the original car airbags used throughout their collections and the Sole Fury collaboration. Additional details include a molded foam tongue, toe & heel while the transparent mono mesh side walls showcase additional patterning details inside. The photoshoot further reinforces the car imagery with a bold red tire, further reinforcing the similarities in their patterns.
The footwear collaboration will be previewed and available exclusively at BOON THE SHOP in Seoul, Korea on October 23 and released for a global audience starting October 30.
