Goldwin Mount Hut Jacket ‘Black’
The ‘Mount Hut Jacket’ from Goldwin is a versatile garment that can either be worn as an outer layer or underneath a shell for added insulation. Made from POLARTEC CLASSIC 100 Micro Fleece which balances weight and warmth, whilst high-wear areas like your elbows, shoulders and collar are crafted using a ripstop material providing long-lasting durability. There are two pockets located above each hip that have zipper closure for added security.
F/CE. Cruiser Jacket ‘Black’
Inspired by the iconic silhouette of a vintage Cruiser Jacket from the 1980s, F/CE. has reinterpreted this heritage style and made it their own. Made from a blend of Taslan nylon and cotton-nylon, the fabric is designed to improve with time and wear much like a genuine vintage garment. There are a number of features littered throughout including a drawstring hem, four pockets with zip and stud closure and a concealable hood.
Comfy Outdoor Garments Slash Shell Jacket (Alpha Green)
The latest seasonal rendition of one of CMF’s most coveted and recognisable garments: the Slash Shell Jacket, constructed using a polyester-cotton blend 3-layer material that is simultaneously waterproof and breathable. With a very distinctive appearance, it features an asymmetric zip-fastening and ventilated holes located under the chin. There are functional touches throughout like a storm peak hood, waterproof pockets and cord adjusters for a more form-fitting look.
Kapital ‘Drunken Stripe’ Jacket (Green/Natural)
Known for deriving inspiration from traditional American vintage wear and coupling it with artisanal Japanese techniques, Kapital’s ‘Drunken Stripe’ Jacket embodies all aspects of the prior sentiment. The jacket is crafted from a measured blend of cotton and linen to a relaxed silhouette and features a wavy striped pattern throughout. Made in Japan via traditional methods, there are five frontal pockets, one interior compartment and adjustable cuffs. From their latest Spring/Summer ‘21 range, Snow Peak’s 2.5L Rain Jacket is ideal for those living in temperamental urban settings where seasonal weather is unpredictable. Thanks to a lightweight seam sealed nylon construction, the jacket is simultaneously waterproof and breathable. To round it off, functional details include a drawstring hem, adjustable cuffs and 3D shaped sleeves all of which improve the fit.
Story mfg. Forager Jacket ‘Handwoven Spiral’
Widely known for their artisanal and ethical approach to design, Story mfg. Garments are crafted to an incredibly high standard, all while leaving as little imprint on the planet as possible. Inspired by an old fishing jacket, their ‘Forager Jacket’ is a slouchy and cropped silhouette made using a hand woven and naturally dyed cotton jacquard. There is a handwoven spiral throughout that is distinctive of Story mfg and two large frontal pockets.
WTAPS VUCA Jacket (Olive Drab)
Known for frequently excelling in their interpretations of military styles, WTAPS’ ‘Vuca’ jacket is a slightly longer silhouette than the other styles on the list but combines functionality and form nonetheless. Made from a high-density, premium polyester taffeta, the ‘VUCA’ isn’t short of military-inspired details such as a chest phone pocket, packable hood and dual-zip closure.
meanswhile Graph Line Coaches Jacket (J.Green)
It doesn’t get much more iconic than a classic Coaches Jacket and our list wouldn’t have been complete without including this take by meanswhile. It’s made using an organic cotton and nylon blend material that features an appealing mismatch pattern whereby there are irregularities between the line placement. The fabric has been brushed thus raising the fluff which finishes it off nicely. Some of the details that round off the design include a drawcord hem adjuster, a hidden interior pocket and button-closure cuffs.
F.C.Real Bristol Practice Jacket (Gray)
Sporting a distinctive grid pattern that is inspired by both the net on a football field and the brand itself, F.C. Real Bristol’s ‘Practice Jacket’ is more elastic and lighter than previous iterations. The jacket retains an athletic yet smart cut that could be worn in either setting, but with the addition of rear ventilation, thumbholes and adjustable cuffs which gives it a functional edge. It takes the place as one of the more sportswear-esque pieces on the list.
South2 West8 Paraffin Coated Oxford Tenkara Jacket (Mustard)
Sitting under the Nepenthes umbrella, South2 West8 derives a lot of inspiration from fishing and hunting activities, particularly with their range of ‘Tenkara’ pieces. Their latest seasonal iteration of a fly fishing silhouette is this paraffin coated Oxford jacket that is replete with functional details like d-ring hardware, rear game pockets, a rod holder and four frontal pockets with button-closure. Thanks to its water resistant and durable construction, it is a solid jacket to your Spring lineup.
