Sheba Autumn/Winter '20
Reflective of multiple styles, Sheba’s Autumn/Winter ‘20 collection stands seaside in a palette of nearly all neutrals. From oversized coating to sparing use of down, the outerwear selection blends into one grand picture alongside complementing trousers and a diverse mix of layerable accents.
Expertised prior thanks to his time working for Digawel, designer Hirokazu Shibasaki -- who recently started the label back in 2019 -- reveals a deceptively simple aesthetic. Garments, which range from cord to more versatile twill in material, hide time-intensive details as seams reinforce with darker accenting strips, as constructions splice subtly at their collar to mirror common layering, and as coats bear a volume possible only thanks to a strong command over silhouette. And while the latter winter staples provide warming quilts in long and cropped variations, suiting adds a smart, formal aspect -- pinstripes lining a tailored double-breasted blazer and trouser in match of the underlying collared oxford. Denim-paneled track tops, down vests, knit cardigans, and much more then add to an already solid array of standouts.
