Sillage Crafts Mixtape-Inspired Shirting For DJ Muro's 35 Year Career Milestone
From big to small, Sillage has worked with a number of noteworthy names all across different industries. Just this past week, the Japan-based imprint recruited a local artisan to turn New Balances into ceramic masterworks and now they’re set to join the legendary DJ Muro in celebrating his 35 year career milestone.
The capsule, which effectively turns two of the music producer’s most notable mixtapes tangible, is produced in what is said to be very limited quantity. Each inspiration, though distinct in their choice of imagery, give way to both short and long-sleeve versions of Sillage’s signature open collar shirting as well as an equally bold string bag. “Tropical Boogie,” as the name would imply, paints a mural of hula girls and retro iconography in front of both light and dark backdrops. Alternatively, “Diggin’ Ice” prefers to play with type and a branding sense in line with classic beverages.
Pared down with commemorative Daruma doll, the small collection is set to release at Sillage’s Webstore come this weekend, May 16th.
