AiE Spring/Summer '21
AiE, founded by Diaki Suzuki’s previous assistant Kenta Miyamoto and part of the Nepenthes umbrella, showcases a bright themed Spring/Summer ‘21 collection infusing workwear elements into vibrant vintage-inspired styles.
Channeling the cross-continental subcultures of London and New York, AiE pairs the eccentrically-patterned pieces with flowers as if from the farmers market. Western style striped button shirts come in various pantone colorways are paired with distressed stone-washed jeans. A wide range of overshirt offerings include blue flannel patterns, leaf and flower print, and geometric designs. Meanwhile, trousers are presented in slim straight fits with multi-color paneling and a strap on waist bag. Taking cues from classic American logos, AiE incorporates the minimal yet widely recognizable American Red Cross logo onto striped coats and a cartoon version of Uncle Sam hat for graphic tees.
