nonnative x WACKO MARIA x Converse 'ALL STAR 100 HI / NW'
Three original identities have come together, nonnative, WACKO MARIA and Converse, to develop a celebratory pair of the Chuck Taylor ALL STAR Hi in light of its 100th birthday.
With the Chuck Taylor ALL STAR Hi being such an iconic piece of footwear history, it commands the utmost respect when collaboration is concerned; oftentimes, less is more when this model is called into question. The trio has developed two colourways of the ALL STAR 100, using specially dyed canvas material for the upper: a White/Leopard and Black/Python. For added comfort and breathability, it comes equipped with Converse’s ‘React’ insole which is a multi-layered composition that is incredibly lightweight yet cushioned. At first glance, the styling and design follow suit of tradition but with collaborative touches throughout, such as nonnative’s typical removable zipper detailing to accompany the usual lacing system and an animal print lining the interior of the shoe which is representative of WACKO MARIA’s bold nature.
