Inspired by the brand’s rich 40-year archive, Merrell 1TRL’s Spring/Summer ‘21 collection dips its proverbial toe into a whole back catalogue of functional, hiking-inspired footwear.

Established in 1981 as a manufacturer of high-performance hiking boots, Merrell has remained a relentless force in its realm since. Launched in 2020, Merrell 1TRL maintains the ethos and reputation of the brand while looking to the past for inspiration; as a result, older, classic silhouettes utilise modern technologies that separate them from their competitors.

The imprints Spring/Summer ‘21 range consists of 17 products that challenge our preconceptions of trail footwear without a compromise on design or performance, such as their divisive Hydro Moc and Moab Speed GTX 1TRL. In order to ensure that function is at the forefront of each shoe, some styles utilise the likes of GORE-TEX®, FloatPro® and Vibram® technology, as well as Aircushion technology and Kinetic Fit™ BASE insoles for lasting comfort and durability. Each product is a clear demonstration that performance and lifestyle are no longer mutually exclusive and that they can work in coherence with one another.

The collection is available now across Europe and the UK from their online store and will be landing in the USA and Canada from April, as well as at a number of select stockists.
