PRODUCT HIGHLIGHT | norbit by Hiroshi Nozawa 3-Layer Jacket

Behind the scenes of every notable brand, there is always bound to be an individual like Hiroshi Nozawa, a skilled designer whose previous work includes the likes of Snow Peak and Colombia’s Black Label; Hiroshi mentions, ‘I have harnessed that experience and channelled it into my work with norbit’.

Hiroshi Nozawa’s norbit delivers unrivalled construction with each consecutive garment and this couldn’t be truer for their Spring/Summer ‘21 jacket that utilises 3-layer fabric technology - a composite layering system that comprises of a face fabric - often DWR treated -, a breathable membrane and protective interior lining. Typically, outerwear that boasts a 3-layer composition is bulky but this norbit garment suggests otherwise as it provides the same level of robust waterproofing with a more lightweight forming.

Designed for outdoor environments with all-round performance in mind, the jacket alleviates any stresses the wearer may have regarding the temperamental weather. The shorter, packable jacket boasts unmatched protection for the wearer, as well as moisture permeability, thanks to the 3-layer construction and curved brim of the hood. The addition of rope-work detailing on the front placket is representative of norbit’s uniqueness. In addition, there are pockets located on the side and rear of the jacket, as well as adjustable nuances throughout for a more form-fitting look.
