ARCHIVAL REINVENT Collaborates with #FR2 for Autumn/Winter '21
ARCHIVAL REINVENT and #FR2 couples traditional Japanese martial arts with a dystopian esthetic in this Autumn/Winter capsule.
For the Autumn/Winter ‘22 season, Hong-Kong-based, ARCHIVAL REINVENT, has joined forces with Japanese streetwear brand, #FR2, for a collection inspired by both Kendo, a modern Japanese martial art, and the Samurai - the former of which arose from the latter. The range consists of graphic tees, headwear, multi-pocket shorts with detachable face masks, heritage-inspired outerwear and more. Making a direct nod to Kendo and Samurai, they reinterpret the Kimono silhouette - a Japanese icon - and put their function-forward spin on it through various pockets, adjustable detailing and straps. Other pieces in the collection come equipped with bountiful pockets, tassel detailing and hidden zippers. As usual, the dystopian pieces adhere to a strict colour palette of black, white and charcoal with the odd luminescent yellow hue.
