FreshService and DAIWA PIER39 Bridges the Gap Between Rural and Urban.
For Autumn/Winter ‘21, DAIWA PIER39 has created an exclusive, technical two-piece for FreshService.
Borrowing DNA from both FreshService and DAIWA PIER 39, the collaboration, with its concise nature aside, is designed to coexist seamlessly between nature and city life. The pair has brought forward two styles - the Loose Stretch Twill 2B Jacket and Twill Easy Trousers. By altering the silhouettes and implementing technical details, the garments are closely engineered towards the urban environment. The 2B Jacket, for example, is made using a lightweight and comfortable polyester fabric that as a cotton-like appearance. Relatively unassuming in its design, it features two exterior flap pockets with a subtle graphic, but if you take a closer look inside, there are a slew of pockets geared towards urban life - storing of necessities like your mobile, headphones, keys etc. To accompany the 2B Jacket and round off the ensemble are the Twill Easy Trousers, a relaxed take on what is typically a sophisticated bottom silhouette. Made from the same polyester material, it possesses lightweight and stretchy properties that are essential in urban environments where movement is key. With the addition of a light water-repellent finishing, they are able to withstand sudden variations in weather which we have become accustomed to in metropolitan settings. Further reinforcing the theme behind the collaboration is the disparity exposed in the imagery, where city life and nature coexist. Each piece in the capsule is available in a black or khaki hue.
