Nepenthes Debuts New Womens-Focused Line 'Blank Label'
Nepenthes, the parent of brands like Needles, Engineered Garments and South2 West8, has launched a new women's-focused line of apparel dubbed ‘Blank Label’.
Possessing a name that conveys the label is still a work in progress, ‘Blank Label’ has its sights set on reinterpreting vintage military silhouettes and making them more appropriate for a female audience. The first capsule collection consists of five clothing styles including a Chambray Shirt, Cropped BDU Jacket, Long Skirt, M-51 Dress and Chino Pants that reference US army/navy silhouettes from the 1950s. To maintain their authenticity, the garments are made using a combination of cotton ripstop, chambray and brushed flannel. From the capsule, our highlight is the Cropped BDU Jacket for its subversion of a classic military style, whilst still retaining some elements of authenticity.
The first capsule collection will be available from select Nepenthes locations such as Nepenthes Woman Shibuya, Nepenthes Hakata and Engineered Garments Tokyo.
