The 'Jungle Ultra Low' by Salomon x and Wander
Off the back of the pair’s previous collaborative match-up on the XT-Slate, Salomon and the Japanese imprint, and Wander, continue their regular affairs, except this time developing the ‘Jungle Ultra Low’.
Deriving design cues from the military-focused jungle boot silhouette, and Wander and Salomon has put their minimal yet functional touch on the shoe. The ‘Jungle Ultra Low’ maintains some of its predecessor’s essential characteristics while recontextualising the model into a new environment, whether it be urban or outdoor scenarios.
Adhering to a low-cut silhouette, the upper of the shoe comprises a blend of tonal grey hues with elements of 3M speckled around for additional visibility. Utilising a sock-like construction, the upper has been designed in this way to avoid stones and other debris from entering inside where the foot should comfortably sit, all while ventilated holes increase air flow throughout this area. Salomon retains its Contagrip outsole technology to ensure the Jungle Ultra Low provides ample grip and traction across varying terrains, whether it is wet or dry.
