Needles and Suicoke Add New Colors to Their Geta-Inspired Sandals
Designing ostensibly for the quarantine lifestyle, Needles and Suicoke are teaming up once again for the Spring/Summer ‘20 season, proffering a new range of colors for their traditional geta-inspired sandals.
And though visually influenced by the historic, the constructions certainly lean towards the modern and technical. Rubber footbeds -- with their pronounced molds at the heel and forefoot -- are likely more comfortable than that of the original, the outsole itself approaching further utilitarianism as Vibram’s newly developed Wurstel Sole allows for both the left and right foot to pack into one another. Colored to either an olive, cream, or black, the bottoms complement that of its upper’s thong: a padded lock-down that allures with a bevy of patterns from python skin to more simple paisley.
