HATRA Autumn/Winter '19

HATRA Autumn/Winter '19

Somehow landing in a realm between interstellar coffee date and futuristic gala appearance, HATRA’s AW19 range is a mix of two otherworldly aesthetics though framed within the lines of the contemporary. Draping pieces deviate from the norm ever-so-slightly to get steps closer to the imaginative landscapes of designer KEISUKE NAGAMI’s vision.

Pieces are inspired through and through, forgoing usual conventions though fitting nicely into place with one another. Sweaters don deep wool materials with slight color deviation and color blocked patterns, with paired trousers creating shape through various cinches and structured fabrications. Overcoats, in deep camels as well as matte blacks, add curved plackets and circular collar shapes with others preferring the bulbous extraterrestrial visage of accentuated hoods. Lace textures next to what appears to be sheer linens arrive next to pleated constructions and contrasting pencil skirts, finding balance between the simplistic nylons and floral-esque textures in a way maximal yet still pleasantly effortless. White collared shirts add thermal prints with many of the other garments showing off their playful nature in both silhouette and cut.
