Plantation Autumn/Winter '19
Plantation’s latest unisex range is a love letter to classic menswear while quietly dosing in potent affairs with the feminine mystique. AW19 adds their characteristic charm in a package that seemingly conforms, with each garment beaming in its overt wearability.
Versatile in both design and palette, the overall collection is unapologetic in its affinity for neutral ivories and smooth grey shades, though that mindful reservation allows its cuts and many minute details to shine through. The funnel neck coat, which sports a slight nep to its fabrication, is equally futurist in the ways the cinched waist pullover is contemporary. Blazers as well as the traditional overcoats favor every earth tone with wide cut trousers only accentuating the intended silhouette. Down fill parkas as well as a few basic items of shirting are lovingly bold against the quiet backdrop, featuring burnt orange in simple contrast. Robe-like make-ups, with embellishing striped detailing and large red lapels, are beautifully formless in tandem with the patterned poncho, perfectly diverting from the refined structures of its cohorts.
