Penfield Japan Spring/Summer '20
As outdoor elements become more and more prevalent in today’s fashion sphere, Penfield Sportswear Inc., the Japan iteration of the iconic outdoor brand, sets the tone for the Spring/Summer seasons with a playful lookbook theme aptly entitled “RAIN, MUSIC, COZY”.
Their take on urban outdoorwear is translated to a series of brightly colored garments suitable for casual wear. Rain shell come in the form of knee length hooded coats and two-block jackets for protection from the wet elements while outdoor activities are further encouraged by their wide range of accessories including bucket hats, day packs, shoulder bags, and fanny packs. As their nod to the great outdoors, Penfield incorporates a multi-colored landscape pattern featuring various animals on all of these pieces. Yet beyond these necessary sportswear pieces, Penfield also focuses on everyday staples such as wide tapered fit denim, striped tees, and short-sleeve button up shirts with their P-logo.
