YASHIKI Spring/Summer '20
Since its inception in 2014, YASHIKI by designer Sayatomo Yashiki has garnered popularity through its mastery of knitwear with simple yet elegant garments. Their Spring/Summer ‘20 collection is no different as it invokes imagery and memories associated with scenes of Spring and Summer.
Titled “wind fragrant (Kazekaoru)”, YASHIKI pays attention to the clothes interaction with the environment, focusing on drape, silhouette, length, and fabrics. First and foremost, knit techniques have been instrumental towards YASHIKI’s success and it continues to shine in the form of thick, mustard-colored cardigans, bold orange pocketed vests, and textured half-sleeve henley shirts. Staying rooted in the earth palette, everyday staples such as jersey shirts, pleated cropped trousers, and regular fit shorts can be easily paired with one another. Their latest collection features only a few outerwear pieces such as shank jackets and braces for the colder weathers through means of layering with its versatile collection.
