nanamica Spring/Summer '21

With a theme of making clothes for everyday wear and known for their unique oversized styling, Japanese staple nanamica returns for Spring/Summer ‘21 with their lookbook filled with easy-going, nature-friendly styles featuring sand dunes and clear skies in the backdrop.

This season focuses on respectfully utilizing natural fibers along with synthetic fibers born from cutting edge technology to develop a hybrid collection of comfortable daily wear. Highlighting the collection are nanamica’s set of jacket-shirts that are perfect for the cool yet warm Spring season. Button down shirts coming in oversized silhouettes feature navy, khaki, and natural undyed colorways where if viewed up close, the natural cotton fibers can be seen wrapped around a polyester core for lightweight utility and fast drying. The Chino Crew Jacket are crafted out of highly windproof GORE-TEX Infinium™️ Windstopper®️ fabric to protect from the breezy winds while exhibiting excellent moisture permeability, releasing moisture and keeping the inner layers. A larger overcoat style such as the Short Soutien Collar Coat, which is based on the French military raincoat, also uses GORE-TEX Infinium™️ Windstopper®️ fabric and has a yoke sleeve design for larger range of motion. For bottomwear, Standard Chino Pants come in 2 designs: one is a slim fit chino based on ‘50s US Army chino trousers while the other is a wide, relaxed fit based on those from the ‘40s. Both are tapered toward the ankle for a streamlined silhouette and the inseam utilizes a gusset for enhanced mobility.

The full set of looks and further details about the pieces can be found at nanamica.
