Maharishi Puts its Spin on the G.H.Bass 'Weejun Larson'

Maharishi Puts its Spin on the G.H.Bass 'Weejun Larson'

The British streetwear label, Maharishi, has joined forces with G.H.Bass, the architect of possibly the most iconic footwear silhouette of all time, to put their spin on the ‘Weejun Larson’ style.

Rising to popularity in the 1990s for their newfound take on vintage military silhouettes and modern utility, Maharishi has stayed true to their core aesthetic throughout these years. Now, in a twist of fate, their seemingly polar world has crossed paths with the heritage name behind the classic Bass Weejun Loafer: G.H.Bass. Bringing their unique identities together, they put a spin on an age-old classic.

Tasked with leaving a Maharishi-esque mark on the ‘Weejun Larson’, they utilised their recognisable ‘Bonsai’ camo print across the upper of the shoe, thanks to an embossing technique. Each pair has been expertly crafted from polished leather and hand-stitched using a tubular moccasin construction. The end result bears hallmarks of the original design including the penny cut-out on the bridge and slightly raised heel. The loafers come in either a black or wine makeover.

The loafers will release on the 6th of August onwards for £170 via G.H.Bass and Maharishi’s respective online stores.
