FACTOTUM Spring/Summer '20
Right on the line of pure minimalism, FACTOTUM often impresses more so in their refined sense for tailoring, never afraid to produce a garment that speaks louder in its stitch than color. SS20 is simply an extension of this state of mind as the collection spans from one timeless style to the next.
The color palette near mirrors this as well, with playful spring tones like pastels entirely unrepresented. Instead, we see a vast, pleasant array of neutrals thrust in front of a nature-ridden, sunset-lit backdrop. Burnt oranges are as loud as any of the pieces get, leading the charge for a band of ecru chore coats and lightwash denim. Similarly simple blazers, two-pocket blousons, and the who’s who of overcoats round off the selection of outerwear with materials sturdier than one would expect for the warmer months: seemingly thick chambray, heavy gabardine, and rugged canvas are just a few of the standouts. Shirting, however, is cut much looser and dresses undoubtedly more expressive than any of the aforementioned, bearing slits at their side and a flow owed to their linens and adjacent materials with plaid prints and bright floral notes in tow.
Grab a look at all of the above and much, much more right here, then expect the collection to roll out as we hit the new decade.
