Wacko Maria Continues to Dress Up the Chuck Taylor with a Japan Exclusive Follow Up
While much of the spotlight has been directed outside, it seems the Japanese Converse outpost has their own special project with Americana purveyor Wacko Maria, though this time sans the help of Taiwanese retailer INVINCIBLE.
And as both the US and overseas branch work in parallel -- that is, never overlapping or sharing standouts such as the ever-coveted Chuck 70 -- it seems we’re in for a treat far removed from the pairs released only last week. What remains, however, is the label’s penchant for animal print, though it may be more apt to say “skin” this time around. The Chuck Taylor silhouette, in its low profile form untouched by black heel tabs, raised foxing, and more substantial toe caps, arrives outfitted with a neutral-colored python graphic, forming scales across the entirety of the canvas construction while leaving all else untouched. Tongues cross with the “ALL STAR” patch, and, just within, the “Guilty Parties” branding lies subtly in boldface text.
Grab a good look at these here and find them available exclusively in Japan come January 3rd, 2020.
