ANNMS Receives Its First Delivery from BYBORRE SS19
Layering masterminds BYBORRE are hanging up the towel on the intricate pattern cutting masterworks of their previous season, leading into the much warmer SS19 with pieces that, while more simplistic, offer up comparable levels of meticulous craftsmanship. With items that only truly show their color on body, we’re fortunate to see the label’s garments through the styling displays of Edmonton’s ANNMS.
Accessories, which play on traditional cross-body shoulders bags, are surprisingly stripped down in their compartments, promoting a “no-waste” mindset through a construction that fits only the essentials. 8-bit fabrics — a blend of classic terry and purposeful engineering — can be found throughout almost every single garment, lending its flexibility and comfort to, among other things, 6-pockets shorts as well as their longer variants: bottoms that arrive in versatile shades of black as well as bolder hues of red. Double zipper bombers feature the wool-like textures of their 3D general fabric; sweaters, in subtle striping, don chaotic lines and button closures in a fashion almost patchwork; and basic tees add a strong core that are a wealth more complex than they lead on. Taking the forms of hooded parkas, collarless jackets, and open back vests, the technical outerwear are surely the most standout. The latter of which, in blinding white, coughs up a kit contemporary in the body though rife with overlapping layers: a theme common on the accompanying two whose design adds contrast hits of materials in either their sleeves and back or hidden underneath bright cool tones.
